     John Lin, MD
     Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

    John Lin, M.D. is a staff physiatrist at   

    Shepherd Center and the lead physician

    for the senior spinal cord injury service,

    medical management clinic and the

    medical wound clinic. He is Board

    Certified in physical medicine and

    rehabilitation, spinal cord injury medicine and internal medicine and is a graduate of Medical University of South Carolina and Emory University.

He completed a dual residency in internal medicine and rehabilitation medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia where he also served as the chief resident in his final year. Dr. Lin is an assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine and has served as Associate Residency Program Director for the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory. He has also served as the director of Spinal Cord Injury Service and as a primary-care physician at the Atlanta Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Dr. Lin is a member of the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Spinal Injury Association and the American Paraplegia Society. He has been awarded the Robert L. Bennett, M.D. Award for Teaching Excellence in Physiatry from Emory University in 2002.
