David DeRuyter, M.D., is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in private practice with Atlanta Pulmonary Associates since 1992.

He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and later received a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Abbot Northwestern Hospital and a pulmonary-critical care fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. DeRuyter is the Medical Director and President of the Medical Staff at Kindred Hospital Atlanta. He also serves on the utilization review, infection control and pharmacy, nutrition and therapeutics committees at Kindred Hospital.
