One of the first things you will learn about Shepherd Center is our commitment to helping you become as independent as possible during your stay. Our staff is here to guide you, but it is essential that you and your family take an active part in your care.

What you do and learn during your stay will be with you the rest of your life. Since Shepherd Center opened in 1975, the hospital has become the largest hospital of its kind in the United States. We have grown in size and services, but our dedication to personalized care remains the same. I have been a patient like you, and I know this is a difficult time. But I also know it will get better and that we can help direct you on the uphill road to recovery.
