Cannon has worked at Shepherd in several different clinical positions since 2002. From 2002 to 2003 he was a Patient Care Technician in both the Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury units. As a rehabilitation nurse from 2003 to 2004 at Shepherd, Cannon worked with patients with newly acquired spinal cord injuries and directly participated in their rehabilitation process.
Prior to being hired as an admissions liaison in July 2011, Cannon worked as a charge nurse, providing care to adolescent and adult patients with a wide range of spinal cord injuries.
As an admissions liaison, Cannon said his favorite part of the job is “being able to touch lives and give people a better opportunity for life after injury.”
