Shepherd Center - A Catastrophic Care Hospital

Tara Grimes joined Shepherd Center’s admissions team in 2011 after working as an occupational therapist at Shepherd from 2004 – 2006. Tara has experience in all aspects of rehabilitation, including ICU, acute care, inpatient, and outpatient therapies.

Based in Myersville, Md., Tara is responsible for evaluating patients in the mid-Atlantic region.

Prior to joining Shepherd Center, Tara worked in the home health industry and as a therapist in outpatient clinics.

“I have a passion for helping the spinal cord and brain injury population become as independent as possible,” she said. “I’m thrilled to join the Shepherd team again and give patients in my area the opportunity to get therapy at the best place possible.”

Tara received her Bachelors of Health Science and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Penn.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. Tara is an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan and counts hiking, skiing and reading among her hobbies.
