QUALITY OUTCOMES – HOW SHEPHERD COMPARES

How does Shepherd Center compare to other hospitals?

Patient Safety

Shepherd Center strives for excellence in patient safety. That is why we are proud to present the results of a recent survey conducted by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) that measures the culture of patient safety in hospitals across the nation.

The 2008 AHRQ Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture is a staff survey designed to help hospitals assess the quality of care and culture of safety in their institutions. Hundreds of hospitals across the U.S. and internationally have implemented the survey since 2004 when it began.

The chart below compares Shepherd Center to other hospitals who agreed to participate in the survey in the state of Georgia, the South Atlantic region, and the nation.
