Chet Bhasin, FACHE, MBA, MS
Chief Operating Officer
Chet Bhasin, FACHE, is the chief operating officer of Shepherd Center. Before joining Shepherd Center in early 2017, Chet served as the director of back/spine, orthopedics and post-acute services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Chet provided leadership in physician relations, revenue enhancement, cost reduction, regulatory compliance and project oversight in various services and programs. Before joining Texas Health, Chet held several administrative leadership roles in Kindred Healthcare facilities in Texas and Illinois.
Chet received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, business economics and public policy from Indiana University in 2002. He then received his master’s degree in communications from Northwestern University in 2008, followed by a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame in 2009. Chet is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Chet has more than 10 years of leadership experience in healthcare. He provides experience and knowledge in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, as well as experience with stand-alone organizations and integrated health systems.
Chet joined the senior management team at Shepherd Center in January 2017, and he is already recognized as a leader who is helping Shepherd Center plan and address future changes and challenges in the healthcare industry.
Chet is a Chicago native and has traveled to more than 30 countries. A few of Chet’s hobbies include playing tennis and golf, and enjoying quality time with his two sons and his wife, who is a cornea specialist.
