Dan Poisson, CHFM, CHSP, FSM
Director of Facilities Management
Dan Poisson is the director of facilities management at Shepherd Center. In this role, he is responsible for the leadership, coordination and oversight of engineering, transportation and security departments.
Dan has been in hospital operations and maintenance since 1991. Before joining Shepherd Center in 2014, he was employed at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, by J&J Worldwide Services, a defense contractor specializing in the operations and maintenance of Department of Defense hospitals. He also held leadership roles at Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe, Sodexo, Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville and Chestatee Regional Hospital (formerly St. Joseph’s) in Dahlonega, Georgia.
Dan is a veteran and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He attended Marietta-Cobb Vocational Technical School, focusing on heating, air conditioning and refrigeration.
Dan has obtained numerous certifications including, ASHE Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), Certified Fire Safety Manager (CHSP-FSM) and maintains a Georgia Conditioned Air Contractor License.
