Kathy Slonaker BS, RN, CRRN

Kathy Slonaker began working at Shepherd Center in 1982 in nursing and has worked in every unit at Shepherd Center, including 10 years in the Outpatient Services Department before joining the admissions staff as an admissions liaison in 2000. She became lead triage nurse in 2014.

"I love representing Shepherd Center and working closely with referring facilities to educate families on spinal cord and brain injuries," she says. "I am honored to be a part of the treatment team, working together to set the course for the patient and family's journey to recovery. I am inspired everyday by the families I serve as I bear witness to love, faith and hope."

Kathy is married and has three children. Her husband, Mark, is the executive director of athletics alumni relations for the University of Georgia.

Kathy enjoys traveling, being outdoors, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
