Ginger Murphy joined Shepherd Center in 2008 as an admissions liaison for patients in Florida.
A native Floridian, Ginger says, “I enjoy being an advocate for patients and their families during one of the most difficult times in their life. I find it very rewarding to act as a resource and explain to the families what they should expect in the coming months.”
Prior to joining Shepherd Center, Ginger provided social work and case management services to trauma patients at a level II trauma center in Melbourne.
Her background includes a variety of experiences that benefit her current role at Shepherd: hospital social work, hospice social work and bereavement counseling, victim advocacy and counseling, pediatric rehabilitation, non-profit fundraising, event planning, and grant writing. She obtained both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida.
In her free time, Ginger enjoys spending time with her husband and her daughter. She loves cooking, gardening, and entertaining friends in her home. Ginger is an active individual who enjoys running, racquetball and most outdoor activities.
