Ways to Give
As a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 hospital, Shepherd Center relies on donations from individuals, families, corporations and foundations to fund a number of programs that directly benefit patients and their families.
Donations help fund unreimbursed patient care programs, purchase patient care and rehabilitation equipment, provide families with on-campus housing, fund capital projects, and keep Shepherd Center at the forefront of research and technology.
You can make a charitable contribution in a variety of ways:
A gift of cash in support of Shepherd Center is the easiest way to give. Your gift to the Shepherd Center Foundation is tax-deductible, as allowed by law. We will send you an acknowledgment letter for your tax records. If your company has a matching gift program, the gift can be doubled in value. For more information, call 404-350-7306 or email Dean Melcher.
A gift to Shepherd Center in memory of a loved one, in honor of an accomplishment or to mark a milestone in someone's life is a very personal and loving tribute.
Shepherd Center will send an acknowledgement card to those you have named, and you will receive a letter confirming your gift. The acknowledgement card will not include the amount of your gift. For more information, call 404-350-7330 or email Jessica Williams.
Many individuals provide for the long-term support of Shepherd Center through a will bequest, trust, charitable gift annuity, life insurance policy, or retirement account. We are pleased to speak with you or your professional advisors to help you design a giving plan that will best benefit you and Shepherd Center. Learn more about options in planned giving by calling 404-350-7301 or emailing Jen Swindall.
Gifts of stock—especially long-term appreciated stocks—provide benefits to Shepherd Center while also benefiting you. Shepherd Center Foundation's account number at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for a stock transfer is 769-115184-750. Please reference DTC #0015.
