Webinar: Managing Patients With Acute Spinal Cord Injury

This lecture will broaden the knowledge of healthcare professionals working with individuals who have sustained a spinal cord injury. Clinicians will increase their knowledge and understanding of spinal cord anatomy, the levels of injury, AIS classifications and critical care during the first 72 hours of treatment in the trauma setting. The interventions and techniques will enhance the learner’s skills. Dorea Fowler, RN, BSN, CRRN, will deliver a live presentation with an opportunity for questions at the end of the webinar.

Objectives:

  1. 1. Differentiate the level of spinal cord injury based on a patient’s motor function.
  2. 2. Define three conditions associated with autonomic dysfunction after spinal cord injury.
