Saumitra joined the Hulse in August 2014 as a Research Scientist. Saumitra is a biomedical and industrial electronics engineer with more than 7 years of experience working in the field of neuro motor rehabilitation for spinal cord injury population. Saumitra has 8 years of experience and expertise in 3D human motion capture using optical camera based or inertial motion tracker based technologies for studying human kinematics with applications in Rehabilitation, Biomechanics, Sports, Ergonomics and Virtual Reality and Animation. His career interests include medical device innovation and new product development in the broader telemedicine landscape. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Innovation and Development which is a specialization in commercialization of medical devices from bench side to bedside.
