Sarah Callahan, MOT, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist, SCI Clinical Research Scientist

Sarah started at the Shepherd Center in early 2013 as a spinal cord injury research fellow, where her time was divided between treating patients across the continuum of care and assisting with research projects. Now, as one of a couple occupational therapists in the lab, Sarah sees her role as helping to bridge research and the clinic. Whether it's through facilitating monthly “Cookies and Research” events, mentoring Doctor of Physical Therapy students during yearly capstone research projects or contributing to arm and hand function-related studies, Sarah hopes her efforts can directly inform and improve clinical practice, as well as enhance the lives of individuals with spinal cord injury.
