How to Apply for the Mercer University-Shepherd Center Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency
Application Information
Mercer University-Shepherd Center Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and lifestyles. We offer one 13-month fellowship position available to individuals who:
- Degree or certificate in physical therapy from an accredited physical therapy school.
- Active Georgia state physical therapy (PT) license.
Application Submission Instructions
Mercer University and Shepherd Center participate in the Residency and Fellowship Physical Therapy Centralized Application Service (RF-PTCAS). To apply, the following must be submitted through the RF-PTCAS website by the deadline to be considered:
- RF-PTCAS residency application
- Resume or CV
- Responses to essay questions
- Letters of recommendation
- Copy of PT license
- School transcripts
- Documentation of relevant CEU's
Application Deadlines
Applications open on RF-PTCAS in October, and all application materials must be submitted by Feb. 1. Selection will be based on a letter of intent, the applicant's qualifications, and letters of recommendation. After the initial review process, select applicants will be invited for an interview.
Residency Costs and Benefits
The residency program fee is $10,000, which covers expenses associated with the didactic component of the program. Payment may be made monthly or quarterly and is specified in the signed residency agreement.
Residents are paid for their clinical hours and are also eligible for benefits.
