Volunteers make all the difference at Shepherd Center. Each year hundreds of individuals, families and companies lend support by giving their time to Shepherd Center.
There are a number of various opportunities for volunteers, whether you enjoy interacting with patients, performing clerical tasks or assisting with fun events.
Please call 404-350-7316 for more information.
Volunteer groups at Shepherd are open to anyone in the community and are a fun way to meet new people while planning and implementing special events that serve as fundraisers for Shepherd Center.
Auxiliary

Peach Corps
Composed of individuals and families who perform 2-3 activities annually for our patients. Activities include an ice cream social in the spring and a cookout in early fall. Please call 404-350-7469 for more information.
Shepherd Center Society
The Shepherd Center Society (SCS) is a volunteer group comprised of civic-minded individuals approximately 27-45+ years old who are interested in supporting Shepherd Center and being advocates for the hospital. We believe SCS is the perfect “bridge” organization among Shepherd Center’s other volunteer groups – Junior Committee, Peach Corps and Shepherd Auxiliary. SCS hosts four events each year, one each season. Learn more about the SCS.
Junior Committee is comprised of young professionals (age 22-35) who raise funds for Shepherd Center's therapeutic recreation program. The group's primary fundraising event is Derby Day held each May.
