Volunteers
Make a Difference

Each year, hundreds of individuals, families, and companies lend their support by volunteering their time to Shepherd Center. There are many opportunities for volunteers to get involved, whether you enjoy interacting with patients, supporting our operations, or assisting with one of our signature events.

Shepherd Center Junior Committee

Founded in 1983, Junior Committee comprises members aged 21-39 who share a passion for the mission of Shepherd Center. They donate their time, talents, and ideas to help bridge the gap between “I Can’t” and “I Can” for our patients. The Junior Committee Board provides extensive volunteer, fundraising, and networking opportunities for highly ambitious professionals looking to make an impact in their community.

Peach Corps

At Shepherd, we seek to care for the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. Volunteer groups like the Peach Corps help make that possible. This group performs 2-3 special activities annually for Shepherd patients, including an ice cream social and an autumn cookout.

Graduate Stories

Are you a Shepherd Center graduate? Nothing helps people understand Shepherd’s extraordinary care like the stories of people who have been treated there and the family who supported them through recovery. You can use the graduate resources on this page to write your unique Shepherd story and share social posts about other grads or the Pursuing Possible campaign.
