Leah Barid is an Occupational Therapist and Assistive Technology Professional with a wealth of experience in the field of neurorehabilitation. With over 20 years of dedicated service at the Shepherd Center, Leah has cultivated a deep understanding of the complex needs of individuals recovering from catastrophic injuries. Before transitioning to the Access Case Manager role, Leah held positions on both Day Program and Inpatient therapy units; and most recently served as an Assistive Technology Specialist providing customized therapy interventions to clients across the entire rehab continuum.

Leah holds a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Georgia and earned her Occupational Therapy degree at the Medical College of Georgia. Leah’s mission is to leverage her knowledge, passion, and experience to provide unwavering support to patients and their families as they embark on the journey of rehabilitation.

In her personal life, Leah enjoys live music, passionately supporting professional soccer, and embracing the great outdoors, including camping in her teardrop camper. She also loves attending obedience training with her rescue dog, Bruno, where he eagerly helps her learn good manners and how to behave.
