This course defines the assessment tools utilized in the treatment of patients with severe brain injury, including individuals in disorders of consciousness, minimally conscious plus and minimally conscious minus. A focused discussion, to improve accuracy of differential diagnosis of disorders of consciousness (DoC), centers on test selection and interpretation of test results. Early, accurate differential diagnosis will lead to improved plan of care for patients after severe brain injury.
