This advanced course is designed to update therapists on best practices in assessment and intervention for individuals with cognitive disorders. The workshop will include an update on current research on neuropsychological sequelae of TBI, a framework for assessment, and methods for teaching new knowledge and skills to individuals with acquired memory impairments.

Participants will have the opportunity for hands-on practice with a variety of intervention techniques, and also will be introduced to sources of ongoing information on evidence for clinical practice. Though the course focuses on individuals with TBI, the principles are applicable to individuals with other acquired brain injuries associated with neuropsychological impairment.
