Dr. Potter's Medical Background
Jared Potter, M.D., is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with an additional subspecialty board certification in brain injury medicine. He joined the hospital’s medical staff as a staff physiatrist in August 2022.
Dr. Potter obtained his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He continued at the University of Kentucky, completing his post-graduate training in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). He also completed a brain injury medicine fellowship at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in New York.
With an interest in medical education, Dr. Potter served as a resident and fellow medical educator, and a member of the departmental Resident Research Committee during residency. He also served on the departmental Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Staff Advisory Group.
Patient Programs Involving Dr. Potter
Medical staff members at Shepherd Center often work with many different teams, and some choose to work closely with select patient programs and clinical focuses. Dr. Potter works with the following programs:
- Complex Concussion Clinic
- Multi-Specialty Clinic
- Stroke Center of Excellence at the Piedmont Hospital Marcus Heart and Vascular Center
He will also be providing inpatient consultations throughout Piedmont Hospital Atlanta.
