Dr. Bandukwala’s Medical Background
Nazia Bandukwala, D.O., is a consulting physician in Shepherd Center’s Urology Clinic. She is board certified in urology and received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bandukwala specializes in female urology, urodynamics and reconstruction. She was chief urology resident at Detroit Medical Center and completed an international rotation at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.
Dr. Bandukwala has published numerous peer-reviewed publications and given presentations on female urology, including sexually transmitted diseases and management of urology; female prosthesis implantation; and incontinence.
Dr. Bandukwala maintains a strong interest in research on young adult women with undiagnosed vesicoureteral reflux, the evolution of sexual function in females who are post-cystectomy patients and sexually transmitted diseases amongst urology patients. She is a member of the American Urological Association and the American College of Surgeons.
