The Andrew C. Carlos Multiple Sclerosis Institute — which encompasses the MS medical clinic, the Eula C. and Andrew C. Carlos Rehabilitation and Wellness programs, and research — is conveniently located on the main campus of Shepherd Center in Buckhead Atlanta, next to Piedmont Hospital. We are easily accessible from Interstates 75/85 and just 16 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Parking
Free and convenient covered parking is available for all patients in the Shepherd parking deck behind Shepherd Center. ADA parking is available on all garage levels, with van-accessible spaces on the ground level. Direct access to the hospital is accessible by an elevator on each level of the parking deck.
Patients can also be picked up or dropped off adjacent to the Marcus-Woodruff Building Entrance. Transport chairs may be borrowed from our Security Desk if needed by visitors.
MS Rehabilitation and Wellness Patients: Since the Eula C. and Andrew C. Carlos Rehabilitation and Wellness Programs are located in the Woodruff Family Residence Center you will park as directed above for your initial evaluation. After your evaluation, we will give you a parking pass, and you can park conveniently right outside the plaza.
Finding the Andrew C. Carlos Multiple Sclerosis Institute in Shepherd Center
MS Medical Clinic
If you are arriving for an appointment with a MS medical provider or a MS infusion, you will check in at the MS Institute on the first floor of the main Shepherd building. Upon entering Shepherd Center via the visitor’s parking bridge, you’ll continue down the hall. The MS Institute is on the left, just past the elevators and across from the Security Desk.
Eula C. and Andrew C. Carlos Rehabilitation and Wellness Program
If you are arriving for our rehabilitation or wellness services, you will check in at the MS Rehabilitation and Wellness programs located on the plaza level for the Woodruff Family Residence Center.
Driving Directions
- Take I-75 North or I-85 North through downtown Atlanta via the I-75/85 connector.
- Bear right onto I-75 North toward Marietta/Chattanooga.
- Take the first exit #252A, Northside Drive (Hwy. 41).
- Turn right onto Northside Drive and continue for a half mile.
- Turn right at the first traffic light onto Collier Road; follow until it dead ends.
- Turn left onto Peachtree Road.
- Turn left at the second light into Shepherd Center.
- Take I-75 South to exit #252 "Howell Mill Road/Northside Drive."
- On the exit ramp, follow signs to Howell Mill Road.
- Turn left onto Howell Mill Road.
- At the second traffic light, turn right onto Collier Road; follow until it dead ends.
- Turn left onto Peachtree Road.
- Turn left at the second light into Shepherd Center.
- Take GA 400 South to exit #2, "Lenox Rd./Buckhead."
Turn right at the end of the ramp. - At the second traffic light, turn left onto Piedmont Road South.
- Merge into the right lane.
- At the second traffic light, turn right onto Peachtree Road.
- Continue for three miles.
- Turn right into Shepherd Center.
- Take GA 400 South to exit #2, "Lenox Rd./Buckhead."
Turn right at the end of the ramp. - At the second traffic light, turn left onto Piedmont Road South.
- Merge into the right lane.
- At the second traffic light, turn right onto Peachtree Road.
- Continue for three miles.
- Turn right into Shepherd Center.
Public Transportation
MARTA, Atlanta's mass transit system, operates a bus line accessing Shepherd Center. The campus is accessible via the #110-Peachtree Road/Buckhead bus from the Arts-Center MARTA station. Visit MARTA's website for more information.
Directions:
- Take the North-South rail line. If you are on the East-West rail line, you must transfer at Five Points Station.
- Take MARTA to the Arts-Center Station in Midtown.
- At the bus station, board Bus #110, which travels Northbound on Peachtree Street.
- About 1.5 miles north of the Arts Center Station, exit the bus stop at the traffic light at 2025 Peachtree Road. Your bus driver will announce “Shepherd Center.”
- This bus stop is located directly across the street from Shepherd Center and the MS Institute.
