The MS Institute presents "Living Well with MS," a 12-week virtual series led by a MS counselor tailored for individuals diagnosed with MS within the past two years. Join this program to gain insights from Shepherd experts, connect with fellow MS individuals, and delve into topics like Wellness, Neurophysiology, medications, exercise, pain, sleep, resources, and impact on family.

As the only dedicated MS rehabilitation program in Georgia, our MS therapists work closely with you to assess your health needs and develop a plan of care around you to help keep you as active and independent as possible.

Bowel and Bladder Clinic

Experience our comprehensive four-week MS Bowel and Bladder clinic, where you will collaborate with a team of professionals, including a physician assistant, nursing staff, occupational therapist, pelvic floor physical therapist, and case manager. This multidisciplinary approach ensures a holistic treatment plan addressing your bowel and bladder concerns.

The MS Wellness Program supports a healthy lifestyle with group classes for exercise, education, and social activities, while individual sessions with an exercise physiologist create a personalized exercise program.

Case Management

Complex conditions like multiple sclerosis require a multifaceted and personalized treatment plan, often encompassing multiple care specialists from various disciplines. Case Managers help to coordinate your care within your interdisciplinary team. They may also work with you to advocate for resources outside Shepherd Center, such as vocational training or disability claims.

Due to the increasing complexity of MS, personalized care is the most effective way to help navigate and delay the progression of your condition. As a patient at the MS Institute, your care can include visits with neuropsychologists, pain experts, urologists, and other specialists as needed. Additionally, you’ll have access to other Shepherd clinics, classes, and services like our assistive technology center, seating clinic, or monthly bowel and bladder clinic.
